HEGI

Year

2024

HEGI is a design-led lighting brand born from the northern landscapes of Bizkaia, shaped by a profound respect for nature, heritage and experimentation. Crafted through 3D printing technology, each piece is a quiet dialogue between tradition and innovation—where minimalism meets organic form, and digital precision is softened by the sensibility of the natural world.

The name HEGI, drawn from the Basque word for “hillside” and subtly transformed from the family name Eguiluz, becomes both a tribute and a threshold: a place where lineage, place and vision converge. It speaks of origin, of terrain, of inheritance—not only of names, but of textures, memories and values passed down and reimagined.

HEGI does not chase trends. It listens to the land, to silence, to the slow rhythm of materials. It believes in sustainability not as a label, but as a practice: thoughtful, quiet, and enduring. The lamps invite us to live more consciously, to see light not only as function, but as presence.

To bring HEGI into a space is to bring in a fragment of the coast, a whisper of forest, a sense of calm. It is a brand that grows from the ground up—rooted, luminous, alive.
