This project involved the design of the visual identity for the Makerspace Movement Coming to Estonia event, held on 19 January 2024 at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) in Tallinn, a Distributed Design Platform event promoted by the Fab City Foundation.

The Makerspace Movement Coming to Estonia event is a pivotal gathering that brings together leading European makerspace experts, Estonia's emerging makerspace community, and other organizations interested in the makerspace movement. The event is designed to highlight the transformative impact of makerspaces in fostering local resilience. Its visual identity was developed with a contemporary and experimental approach, taking inspiration from the aesthetics of makerspaces—creative environments that foster technology, collaboration, and community engagement.

The design of the visual identity brings together minimalist and modern elements in a geometric yet organic composition. This balance reflects both forward-thinking innovation and a strong connection to material craftsmanship. A soft gradient colour palette was selected to convey a sense of natural energy and creative momentum, while preserving a clean, refined visual texture that speaks to the future-oriented ethos of the makerspace movement.

Typography is based on the Distributed Design Platform’s visual identity system, with clear, structured layouts that echo the modularity and open structure of collaborative workspaces. The overall layout was carefully composed to ensure readability, visual rhythm, and cohesion between text and background, allowing the content to feel visually engaging.
